Right ok, me and a friend where at a livery yard- 8 horses, but not working out. so we moved our horses to a private yard with another lady so now 4 horses. My friend and my horses share a field and the other lady has one of her own.
Now heres the issue my horse has got really attached to my friends.l He wont do anything indepantly. I used to be able to bring him in his own for the day, no screaming etc. Now its all day long, if the other horse is taken away from the field mine runs about like an wolly.
In the field he can see and touch the other 2 horses, in the stable he cant see anyone, but couldnt at old ethier. So how do break the attachment as he was indepant before. I bring him in during the day, should i leave him in for a few days so he's without anyone then turnout for short times offen and build up. we cant really tie the routines in together as both have different needs and its also a time issue.
Anyone have any ideas, i used the fact that my was so chilled, now its a mission to pick out his feet in the stable due to him stressing. But i need him to be independant so i go out on rides, shows etc atm i cant ride out by myself
