Neem oil and soap?

Depends why they are itching, but it is getting fabulous results for sweetitch, mites, that kind of thing. It does help heal and can be used directly on wounds so good for healing sores from itching for other reasons, but if the itch is an internal to food or something like that then it won't stop the itch. I love the stuff, and got a friend hooked on it too for her SI mare - it does seem to do remarkable things in terms of re-growth on bald areas. I have had it heal an open sore to new skin and hair coming through in just 2 days, I didn't think it was possible, but had a similar sore a little while later and didn't treat it with anything - took about 3 weeks to get the same result. Remarkable stuff.
There is some potential for burning in the sun as it is an oil, never happened to me but you can avoid it by applying at night so it can soak in before the midday heat. Always worth a patch test too, in case of allergy to the oil itself.
