Hi all,

Its that time of year again....sweet itch! I've heard some really good things about Neem Oil and wondered if anyone had a good home made recipe for fly spray using this oil.

Cheers.

Just use it on its own, warm it up it becomes an oil and wipe with a sponge over body under belly, along mane and back, behind ears. Its good stuff and doesnt appear to make the coat oily after a couple of hours of application

I don't know how effective it would be with sweet itch, but I use it for everything (and yes, as a result my horse stinks :D). I rub it neat on cuts, grazes and mud rash scabs. I spray it all over as a fly repellent (glug of oil in a spray bottle with a teeny tiny bit of washing up liquid to emulsify). I clean sheaths with it... It seems to have endless uses. Also, the horses seem to love it. One in particular will lick the brush we use to apply it to their stomachs/sheaths. I would have thought it would taste horrible, but apparently not!

One bottle of Avon skin so soft, blue one, So Fresh. Add one teaspoon name, eucalyptus, cedar wood atlas, citronella, tea tree essential oils plus two caps of dettol from a 500 ml bottle. Top to one litre with cold water. Shake well, shake while spraying on. Always patch test fist.
