I used it for a bit, wiped it on twice a day. Be warned - it absolutely STINKS, and if you get it on yourself, you will smell like rotten broccoli curry for several days, no matter how much you shower. Thats why I stopped using it!

Mine is mixed with bergamot and eucalyptus to mask the pong but yiu can still smell it. Never mind.. Horse won't care

I use the pure Neem Oil,
2 tablespoons Neem
2 " Liquid soap or shampoo.
1 litre of hot water.

I mix it up and sponge all over the horse and it seems to last for two or more days. If they sweat then they will ned more often.

Just do a patch test first, it's strong stuff, some horses have been known to react to it.

That said, I make my own little cuts n scrapes balm using neem(keeps flies off little wounds etc) and haven't had a problem. I also use it in the pony's ears as a fly repellent as he doesn't like sprays round his head.
