Having read the item on the website about the horses in Spain, and such a distressing story I haven't read for a long time. I actually think its worse than Amersham. I can do nothing to help other than contribute towards the fund, but looking at the link with CAMCA (the Spanish welfare organisation) it's only in Spanish, and the English translation isn't working yet. Anyone any ideas on how to contribute?

I was wondering what's the chance of going out there and 'rescuing' one. Have plenty of grass for a nice young horse to bring on....!

Seriously though i don't know why these people do it. Do they intentionally do this or do things just get out of hand? If so, why don't they ask for help? Just seems insane and soo sad!

Apparently the woman paid thousands for them then neglected them by seemingly starving them to death?! What the hell is wrong with people???? It makes my blood boil

The particular difficulties in this case (as I understand it) is that if these horses were to be removed by the authorities they would have to be destroyed (according to the law - not British Law obviously as these horses are in Spain).

I am struggling to understand why a temporary removal order cannot be put in place, securing the care of the horses and preventing them from destruction.

See - it's not on good old Blighty where the law is an Ass!
