My non neoprene Le Chameu Giverny are brilliant but not very warm. I know they do a neoprene version but until I know for sure the insurance will pay my latest vet bill I would rather not make such a spendy purchase just yet.

So, can anyone recommend a more budget friendly version to just get me through a winter they donr neef to last forever. I've seen Rydale do a version but are they more a wide fit? I'd take a punt with a Decathalon pair but they only start at a 6 and I'm a 5!

Open to other suggestions :)

Gumleaf is the best and more economical option I’ve found for slim calves.
I have the Norse but the green version looks the same.

Cheapest I found them was here

I have the neoprene lined le chameau and the muck boot ones fit me pretty well, not as slim as but not bad.

If you have space in your wellies you could just wear 2mm neoprene diving socks. Buy a large size because they're intended to be very tight.

Thank you for all the suggestions :)

Abacus - thank you so much for that link but think I'd rather buy new as I've had a second hand pair of LC many years ago and had problems with the heel rubbing. When I've bought new, it's never happened!

Thought I'd update this in case anyone else is looking. I bought the Rydale 'Lady Grasmore II' for £75.

So far, I'm very impressed! They were comfortable from the start with a very sturdy and supportive foot, warm and are fairly smart looking. Very warm as only needed a thin pair of socks standing through a barefoot trimmer appointment and a physio appointment but are comfortable enough for long dog walks too (I've worn them for a couple of 2-3.5 hours walk so far).

Obvs I can't confirm their longevity yet but so far, so good :)
