Just heard Nepos Van Limbo owned by Mark Stubbs and ridden by John and Robert Whitaker has died following colic surgery. Very sad. He was only young and won a total of £23,892 in his short career.
He was the 9 year old coloured - nice looking horse. Info from BSJA:
The 9 year-old skewbald gelding, c, owned by Mark Stubbs and ridden by John and Robert Whitaker has died following colic surgery.
The promising young horse had been ridden and was fighting fit according to John on the Wednesday prior to him flying off to compete his other horses at CSI4* Vienna. The horse was later found to have colic symptoms and was immediately taken to Liverpool University for surgery on Thursday. Sadly the horse did not recover.
Nepos Van Limbo won a total of £23,892 in his short career. He made his British Nations Cup debut at CSIO Gijon earlier this year where he jumped clear in the first round and in September he won the Queens Cup at CSIO5* Barcelona.

He was a fantastic horse, just coming into his prime and proving his ability, its a sad loss.
