As title really. Just how much improvement would you expect to see if correct area had been blocked and there were no other problems??!!

That is what I thought. But a vet told me an improvement is enough. Not sure I have enough confidence in this so getting another opinion from my own vet who was on holiday at the time

As be positive, total soundness would be what I would expect. I might be happy with a big improvement, assuming that there may still be some "mechanical" lameness, adhesions pulling or stiffness or a bone spur getting in the way. But I'd personally need it to be 75% at least to convince me.

I hope you haven't got a serious problem soulfull :( ?

we had our tb gelding nerve blocked in june this year , we were rather sceptical of his diagnosis of soft tissue injury around the coffin joint as he only slightly improoved , certainly not completly sound , he then medicated the joint and sent us home to do a weeks box rest then return to eventing , and hes totally sound thank goodness

We only had a 50% improvement after nerve blocking but am 100% happy with the diagnosis as he is a complicated fella! He has psd but also bone pain hence not blocking sound :-(
