I feel awful, iv got to go on a work course this week until Friday. So our 13week old puppy is having to stay home alone for most of day. My mum is coming middle of day for an hour or two.
He has had our company for 2hours this morning and we will be back at 5 for the night. He has been left before now for 4 hours but i have then been with him for rest of day.
He has got a Kong for morning and afternoon and his safe toys.
Tell me this is normal please and he will be ok and enjoy his sleep times!!
I don't mind if he chews things I'm kind of expecting it but he is in a safe place so nothing can really be chewed!!
Sorry for the ramble

I don't think it's ever ideal to leave small pups but at that age he will spend an awful lot of the time sleeping and if your mum comes for a few hours mid day I'm sure it will be fine. I work shifts so since he was very young my boy has been left during the day about give days out of every five weeks (3 days then 2 days). I have a dog walker come in who takes him out with her for a half hour run with other dogs, but she used to just pop in and play for half an hour. He was always pleased to see us but totally fine. Don't beat yourself up - its only five days .

Dont feel guilty! Its good that you've got your mum going in each day as socialisation with other people is just as important as exercise and if she plays with him then he will be tired out! Do you put little treats in his Kong? To tire my pups out if I wasnt able to exercise for a few hours, I used to put some of their fish4dogs salmon and potato kibble inside the kong and they would chase it around the kitchen for ages!:D

Yes he has his Kong stuffed he had tuna and his biscuits in it. Got home to a perfect house and a not too excited pup somehow! Had a play and walk and now he is back to sleep! Yay fingers crossed for next few days
