Morning all!

So excited / nervous for my lesson.. it might be a bit weird, I hope my instructor can speak better English than I can Dutch or we might have a few problems..

Have to cycle there, I've been to the yard twice already (by car, not driving) but we went a different way each time.. hmm! Here's hoping I don't get lost. The yard looks great, it's far nicer than the riding school I used to go to, and the horses are lovely- there's a collection of gorgeous friesians, including one that has a deformed nose (he's extremely cute).

Anyway wish me luck and wishing you all a pleasantly horsy weekend.

Anyone else got any nice plans for the weekend?

Have great fun Sheep:-))

Just don;t be put off when your instructor asks you to Gallop lol in Holland they refer to Canter as Gallop. Always used to make me go "Huh" when I was asked to "gallop in a small circle" :-))

Hahahaha! Luckily I knew that already! Don't think the mare I was riding could've galloped if she tried.

Anyway lesson was great fun, the instructor was nice but her equestrian English was as good as my equestrian Dutch.. we managed okay though, even galloping in a grote ronde.

The horse was nice, a bit too quiet (lazy) for me, but nice enough. She was a bit on the older side, her name was Hilary which I found really funny. Anyway next time I've been promised something with a bit more life. She was about 16.1 and had as much energy as the fat cob I rode all summer ;)

Looking forward to next week already :D
