Had another fabulous jump lesson tonight with our new trainer (Charlie76). As per my last post, we've turned a corner and everything is heading in the right direction. Today was jump lesson #4 and I bit the bullet and had a group lesson. Charlie76 is very good at kicking me into touch so even when I wobbled when someone else (who i dont know) wanted to join in she told me to get on with it
We've been working on getting Buddy to think about where he's going, what his feet are doing and keeping straight, it's a lot for a big baby (and me) to think about Today we continued working on this plus working in with other horses.. It could have been interesting!
We started off with some grid work, first in trot and then canter. Buddy then decided he was in charge and wanted to do the grid at 500MPH so we went back to trot to get some control and he was sweet and listening after that
We then moved on to single fences. I was worried that Buds would yee-ha off but he was very good and the fences slowly crept up.
Short vid - please excuse the pony club kicking on landing, he knows he's done a grinds to a halt if you let him
My favourite pic
Plan is now to go XC schooling, get out to a few comps and do Tweseldown 80 in Oct
