"Nervous" songs

My friend has a horse which can, at times, make her a bit nervous - especially out hacking. To overcome this, she admits that she calms her nerves by singing - in her case, endless verses of "Old MacDonald had a farm - ee I ee I o". This is especially useful at trot, apparently :). I have to admit to having tried it myself (not that my mare makes me nervous, but hey ...) but had to stop when I ran out of conventional animals and couldn't think what noise a spider makes ..... :D.

Anyone else want to admit to having a little ditty they sing to themselves in times equestrian of stress?
yes after my last accident( quite serious) I use CBD oil - makes a lot of difference and really helps. Nerves almost go and I can then rationalise things.

Years ago I had a rather tricky mare to hack out to get fit. At the time there was an advert for Dr Pepper which went " Dr Pepper, what's the worst that can happen?" I used to sing this as I lead her to the mounting block.

An Aussie here; spiders scream. Well, not really, but they make sounds with their abdomens. So 'with a shriek shriek here and a shriek shriek there...'

I've been known to sing Let It Snow, Let It Snow in all seasons and weathers (including heatwaves). In The Bleak Midwinter if things are looking really dire. Key is dependent on the level of nerves and how much said patchyhorse is feeling too!

Also originals called "You've seen a wheelbarrow before" "Can we put all hour feet on the floor please" and "I'm very well aware the ground may be soft (but I don't want to find out at speed)" :D

I've not tried this riding yet, but when I was having a bit of a wobble skiing I'd sing 'Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)' until I was at the bottom of the mountain.

Worked a treat!
