I remember a few years ago seeing in a catalogue nets that you could stretch over a loaded wheelbarrow to stop bits flying off in the wind. Must have been elasticated or with bungees or something. Anyone know where they could be found?

Both those are good ideas - thanks! I'm not asking on my own behalf but for a friend on a very windy hilltop.

Great use for those ghastly nylon sheets you used to find in B&Bs all over Scotland .......

My friend (many years ago!

) used to use a large towel, which she had sewn some elastic round the edges .... it seemed to do the trick and was cheap

My OH got a couple from a motorbike shop but holes aren't that small. Like a big net with about 8 hooks on the ends.

You mean like the nets that you see sometimes covering luggage on roofracks? Now there's an idea ...

I use one of those (or rather have stolen it from OH's shed he he he ), I think they are called elasticated or bungee cargo nets.

Wow! Thanks Lillie07 - that looks just the job. And the cargo nets would be worth checking too - I suspect the wheelbarrow concerned is actually a super-sized one ...
