I've brought a Neue Schule training lozenged full cheek 16mm bit for my horse, have any of you used this bit or any Neue Schule bit? What did you think of it, what were the negatives/positives of using this bit?
i have a NS lozenge copy ( will order the real thing eventually!!) and it works a treat on both my young TB's... previoulsy used the Comfy Contact one with success too....
I ride G in a NS loose ring, lozenge snaffle - I love love love it!! (as does G) I want more now so I don't have to keep swapping it over on my bridles! It's the only bit I feel I need now.
I use the NS verbindend bit - nicely angled lozenge, narrow bit and Pony likes it.
(where people get the idea that thick bits are good is beyond me - Hilary Clayton did some fantastic work with fluoroscopy to show that there is *very little* space in a horse's mouth under normal circumstances and so a thing bit WITH GOOD HANDS is generally a good idea. )
I have the neue shule traininng lozenge hanging cheek bit which is fantastic. We had some real problems finding the right bit for Gen as he has a pretty sensitive mouth but this one was great from day one.
I also love the service you get with Neue Shule. The expert advice and very quick delivery is simply fantastic.
