Hi
I bought a
Neue Schule Verbindend from a authorised dealer in 2017. I sold this bit on eBay at the start of September. The person is not saying it is a fake, as it is not stamped with a NS.

Is anyone aware of all bits are stamped with a NS?

I have proof of my purchase and the bit does have Solax and the arrows on the sides.

I have sent a message to NS asking if all bits are stamped.

Any ideas anyone?

My friend had exactly the same issue when she sold the NS bit on (was a Pelham in her case though), and I'm fairly sure NS told her that some of their older bits weren't stamped in the same way as the newer ones.

I know she ended up taking it back though, just to end the hassle...

The cynical might suggest that this bit isn't having the effect the new owner had hoped for, and they are now scrabbling around for reasons to return it. However, sometimes it is easier just to issue the refund and get your item back.

I will check mine this afternoon but as far as I can remember it only has the Solax stamp and the arrows on the side. Mine was bought from a tackshop and came with the black draw string bag so I doubt it's a fake and I think I bought it in 2014/15.

I have bought and sold lots of NS bits. Most had the original bag / label. Not all have NS engraved, and not all have the little triangle. Some bits where direction / way round doesn't matter don't.

I haven't had any issues or questions.

I am also pretty sure the little direction triangle is unique to NS, and the copy bits don't have it.

Maybe show the ebay buyer this thread?

On the other hand, I sold 2 unwanted fairly old NS bits on ebay, fairly recently, and both went almost instantly on buy it now, for about £40. So is a good market, if take it back to resell it.
