Hi

Sorry, another bit post from me!
Can anyone exlpain the differences between these 2 bits as to my uneducated eyes they look very similar but the NS is a fraction of the price...?

Thanks

Nail on head, the price

KK metal seems to be a bit harder, so doesnt get marked as easily, but tbh for the price difference, I would go with NS

Thanks! Fancy me getting it right!!!!! Ha ha!
There's quite a bit (pardon the pun!

) of difference in price, I'm amazed!!!!

Think the lozenge is at a fractionally different angle and the bars of the bit are slightly less flattened judging by the ones I've got. Other than that just a slightly different metal and having used both the KK and the NS on the same (fussy!) horse there is no discernable difference

Great thanks!
My boy is a bit strong out hacking alone - well not strong as such but if something worries him he'll take off and it does worry me so looking for a little extra control but he's usually ridden in a KK Ultra loose ring snaffle so didn't want anything too severe...
Weezy recommended the KK Universal and I think it might help but then saw the NS much cheaper...

The NS Universal is a fantastic bit, had one of the team chasers in a KK Ultra and then after advice from NS put him into the NS Universal which is a bloody marvellous bit!

No, it isn't as harsh as a 3 ring gag, the bottom ring having less diameter seems to mean it isnt as much of a muddled message. I really like them, and have known them to be effective just on the "snaffle" ring for some un logical reason

Right, I see, I think!
I really want need try both the b-ring & the universal, I'll get on to bit bank, thanks again guys

ditto this! and without the leather curb strap. Think it's a more tactful way of communicating so the horse is prepared to listen more rather than do the fingers in ears, tra la la bit!
