Neue Schule Verbindend

I use it on a horse out of training, always had sensitive fussy mouth on her, she seems very content with this bit, but that is the only horse I've used it on.

Dont know if this is any help but i use the Neue Schule Tranz Baucher.

I was apprehensive before i splashed out on it, but after having it for nearly 2 years I'd never go back.

My mare can be very reisitant to the contact and has a very sensitive mouth.

The metal used warms up beautifully and my little girl really relaxes with the lozenge.
I use it for flat and jumping and never feel the need to rotate it with any other bits as she goes so well in this one and never seems to tire of it the way she does with other bits.

Hope this helps

I have one as a weymouth and there's no doubt that warmbloods with thick tongues love the way it makes into a big "port" when in contact.

If you can use a bit bank to try before you buy. i liked the idea of NS bits and heard great things but my horse hates the metal and it doesnt matter what type of NS bit it is he doesnt like it.

Yes, I've got one from the bit bank - just arrived, so will try tonight.
My horse is an Irish Draught with quite a fleshy tongue and a sensitive mouth. He's not strong at all and doesn't really lean, but his evasion tactic is to flip his tongue over the bit. I am hoping the shape of this bit will help with that and the salox metal will encourage him to soften a bit more. He's going quite well, but is a little inconsistant and I've never thought he was completely happy in his mouth (done all the usual teeth checks etc), so after a bit of research I came up with this bit as something to try.
Interested to know other peoples views as well, so thanks.

they are lovely bits..and if that doesn't work you could try a low port comfort myler? I had a draught x connie with similar configuration inside her mouth and she seemed to like the myler better...never tried to get her tongue over with it. good luck!

I tried various bits with mine, and she really took to this one.She has a very broad, large mouth withfleshy tongue & lips (not too much eh?!), and there are no problems asscoiated with it and it sits really well in her mouth. Recently rode 4 test and not one 'outline' or 'pony poking nose' comments - i'm convinced!!

My highland (thick tongued beastie) managed to get his tongue over every bit I tried...including a myler ported one....however he is very happy with the NSV...no evasions or head tossing. (teeth are fine BTW;))

I'm sure you will find this bit helpful......

All of mine work very well in them and I wouldn't go back unless one didn't get on with it. This was a 17.2 trakehner who used to lean and was on the forehand - only bit that has helped him. I use it on my 5 year old ID fleshy mouth and tongue - sits lovely in there. My 8 year old ISH wooden in sprengers and anything with one joint - loves this bit.
