Hello,

My pony came lame in august 11, vet said it was tendon injury and rest bute etc but could still feel it so took her for a second opinion with scans and ultrasound as was found to have PSD in both hind legs, the vet recommended Neurectomy as it was said to be due to conformation rather than a high impact injury.

She had the op yesterday and (stupidly) after reading on the internet it has uneased me, so i know there are alot of threads on it.

but i would like your opinions on it and if your horse has had the op too.
thank you x

Yes my horse has had her hind legs de-nerved two weeks before xmas x i started riding her again 2 weeks ago and she's on flexadin. She has just started hill work in walk to build up muscles and can start trotting in 2 weeks time. She is slightly short on her right hind in trot on the lunge but vet mentioned a weighted boot to build the muscle up more in that side but cant do that until shes allowed to trot. Shes also turned out, meant to be a small patch but jumped into the big paddock so left her there now! x shes so much happier! x

Would recommend the surgery for others. x she'll return to her level of competition and is now fixed!! :O) x

good luck with yours!! x
