I picked my moped up today, having passed my cbt last thursday nd can safely say i jave never been so frightened!! i didn't really know where i was going so i followed my dad home!1 from chingford to enfield
I drove mine got 18months and was terrified most of the time. It was pretty esential for me as I lived in the sticks on a NT property that my mum worked on so it wasn't easy to get out. They can be fun though and I am trying to sell mine now (sat in the garrage for 4 years
) but it is a little battered even though I had it new.... mainly from one accident where some tw*t on a mobile phone (before the ban) ran me off the road. I was lucky I was wearing jeans and they took most of the force of the skid, I litterally burnt a hold the size of my fist in them but because of that I only have a 50p sized scar on my left knee. Learn the lesson though, never wear anything thinner than jeans!
Well done!! So you won't be going for you full bike test then!!
I remember passing my bike test and getting on my little sports bike for the first time!! I was so worried about dropping it as I rolled it off the drive!!!

Also, no matter how hot, or how short a trip, always always always wear boots (to protect your ankles) and gloves (to protect your hands)
I got my first moped at 12 (I lived in Spain, we all had them) and I can honestly say I was never scared, so go put lots of hours in somewhere quiet and get used to the handling and start to feel as one with your moped
If you get the bug you will be astride an FZR in no time... I miss having a motorbike
I hardly ever drove a car until I moved over here at 23!
