Never heard a bad word about....

Another vote for David gatherer!! Altho u can admit 2 argueing over wot height I would jump & I won!! Prob cos I refused 2 move until the ridiculous jump was lowered! :)

What a strange post to resurrect this thread from over a year ago. I wonder if there is some alternative agenda.

I think we all need to remember that everyone mentioned on here is a human being and will have good and bad days and also will 'click' with some and not others.

As they say..... one man's poison is another man's cure.

I thought the same... pm'd Deborah but no details as yet ;) Wonder what was so bad that she felt the need to search for a thread to comment on from such a long time ago ?

I don't go out of my way to hear bad things about people, and I'm not "in the loop" enough to automatically hear anything bad anyway, and I'm utterly useless at remembering that sort of gossip even if I do hear it, but I'm fairly confident that I haven't heard a bad word about:

William F-P
Pippa Funnell
Tina Cook
John Whitaker
Ben Maher
Piggy French
Carl Hester

I think they all come across as lovely people with their hearts in the right places, with natural affection for their horses albeit with the commercial edge that you have to have to be repeatedly successfully competitive.

If there are bad things to be said, I don't want to know :D It's good to have role models like these to inspire us, as if we know bad things about everyone, how does that incentivise young people to be the best they can be?!

Have to say I have also heard less than positive things about a cetain some one mentioned on here, but nothing to do with her horses. But I dont think its particularly my place to be spreading gossip about some one elses private life on a forum, let alone dragging up an old thread to make a point about it.

Back to the original topic mark king, piggy french, william fox-pitt and probably a few more that I cant remember right now.

Sorry, have to disagree about messrs Maxwell and Pearson.

One from personal experience and one from the horses mouth so to speak, which is also a charity

Ive heard bad words said about most people I'm afraid...but generally its originated from sacked grooms, owners who wouldnt accept that their baby didnt have the potential they thought it had, riders who couldnt emulate what the Pro could do with ease and other Professionals looking to poach owners/horses/staff or sponsors.

Always judge for yourself. Let your horse tell you if the methods work or not. Horses rarely lie unless its food related ofcourse when theyve NEVER had the extra hay you said you gave them... :)
