When she got cast in her stable… she was really stuck (but such a sane and sensible girl ) but try as I might i couldn’t get her over on my own - so I was about to call for back up when I thought I wonder if I could pull her on her rug… so I undid it and yanked her shoulders over towards me… it gave her enough space to swing her front legs through the stable door and she managed to wriggle on to her haunches… after a minutes breather she was up.

stressful night but so glad I’m in the habit of doing final hay up at 10 or she could’ve been stuck til morning

Well done, you must be strong :) Years ago at livery the Connie gelding used to get bullied and jump out of the field. On one occasion he was found parallel to the fence with hawthorn bushes to the side and behind stopping him turning and his front legs through an old, rusty barbed wire fence now pressing into his chest. Thank goodness he just stood and didn't struggle, some dog walkers reported him and judging from the piles of poo he'd been there a few hours.
