Sit with them lying down :)

This is the first time I've seen Pete (the grey) lay down. And Wotsit the foal must be starting to really trust me to let me close to her like this.

Am so proud of them today, Wotsit let me finally pick up all four feet (at 8 months old she was completely un touched when she came into my care nearly two months ago. Pete was scared majorly of having front and back legs touched. Front legs I'd managed to groom/touch but not pick up, backs was a major no go! Today I not only managed to pick up her front feet, but she let me touch her back legs properly:D Might not seem much to some people but is a major step for these ponies. I've also had some lovely emails from World Horse Welfare about the updated photo's I sent them and they continue to give me their support which is brillaint.

Ignore how bad I look please lol.

And the stallion got his first day of turnout Wednesday after being castrated Tuesday. Wow he moves lovely.

Wow very floaty mover- looks like your doing a wonderful job with them I always feel you get 100 x more satisfaction with projects :)

Love the wee stallion! How big is he?

His only 12.3 so feel it's going to be harder to find him a new home being so small, his not backed at age 7 which again fear it may make it harder? Although I plan to back him and get him going walk/trot/canter and hacking before he finds his new home.

Isn't he a real little show off! What you're doing is wonderful and lovely to hear of their progress. The poor little things trust you - they were very lucky to have found you. Fair play to you for taking them on.

Thank you everyone :) The stallion is now a gelding haha and feeling rather sorry for himself. Poor little mite lost his balls, had a patch on a leg shaved and a wound treated, and a swelling on his neck lanced open and drained. Oh and micro chipped to!

Pete is causing havoc today! I moved her and the foal down the lower half of my cousins field last Wednesday so I could turn the stallion out following his castration with my gelding in a field that has no horses around it. Well today Pete has learnt to go over the electric fence into my cousins rested patch that she want's to move her's into next week!! And the foal then learnt to hop over it and follow mum!! After the 5th time of putting her back I gave up and have left them in there for the night (fields split into three paddocks via electric, she doesn't go anywhere if proper fencing)

Why she's now decided to do this I haven't a clue. She's got just as much grass in her half. So now I'm going to have to move them into my summer field and shut my other ponies back in there winter field as I don't want them to keep getting into a part of my cousins field she is saving for her own horses!

Ponies, who'd blooming have them LOL
