im just a tad nevous about what my horse is going to be like in her normal bridle no grackle with a fulmer snaffle at a show :( she shoulld be ok shouldt she?
any advice warming up ect? tips
thanks

also excise banagers i was thinking of getting some as there cheaper than boots [mine are starting to brake] just for schooling ect is it worth it?
thanks

Unless you are very good at bandaging i would stick to boots. You can cause problems if bandages are put on badly. Boots usually offer more protection too

Cant comment on the tack as i dont know anything about you or your horse.

Boots offer more protection than exercise bandages. If you arent very good and trained on how to apply the bandages then they can do damage to your horses tendons especially. Stick with the boots if she needs protection. They are quicker to apply and remove too!

As regards to the tack. Are you schooling her in it at home? If she is going well at home then you just gotta try it at a show and see how she goes.

Ditto teddyt about the bandages, plus boots are easier and quicker to put on and keep clean generally :)
I've read all your previous post and it seems like your mare is improving, so I wouldn't worry! Remember if you're all nervous and stressed on the day, she will pick up on it, so try and stay calm, relaxed and postive. In the warm-up if she's rushing try doing some transition to get her listening to you. Just remember what you were working on and the results you got with her after a few sessions of schooling, you'll be fine! Just don't worry :)

I wouldnt bandage unless you really know how to do it, can cause more harm than good.

As for the show, take her in the snaffle and the normal noseband, stay calm and relaxed a give her a nice long warm up, bending her, riding lots of transitions and jumping the practice jumps calmly and as if it was part of a course dont stop after the jump, keep a nice canter afterwards and then bring her back to trot calmly.

Basically just try and keep her calm and you stay calm yourself and have fun!!

Bring the other bridle that you took her to previous shows in and if shes awfully strong put her in it but try the lesser one first! You never know she may suprise you :)
