After all the great support and advice I've had on here with regards our new addition, an introductory thread is well overdue.

Everyone, meet Eli:

PS - you have no idea how much we are already regretting the decision to have white grout in the kitchen!!

He is a big boy and what a lot of space he takes up in your kitchen, does he drool a lot hence the bib? he certainly is a lovely dog and very hairy too lol. Your other dog looks like a toy compared to him, what does he weigh?

Thank you :) we think he's gorgeous.

Dobiegirl, he does drool but not as bad as we were expecting - the bib is invaluable after he's had a drink but we've not had slobber on the ceiling yet :p.

He's currently 55kg but quite underweight, I think he'll eventually get up to 65kg when fully muscled.

Just got back from a lovely walk in the rain. Little one has gone from one extreme to the other, after 48 hours of nervousness she is now properly winding him up - she waits until he's lying down, then bops him on the nose and barks until he plays with her. She wants to play tug constantly (mostly because he generally lets her win). We're now keeping them separate so he can have some chill time!

Levrier - he is awesome, thanks :). We're the ones that are lucky to have him, he's a private rehome due to his previous owners' change in circumstances and was very loved, he's just a fussy eater hence a bit skinny. We were looking for an adult newf for ages and were thrilled when his owner answered our wanted ad, we wouldn't have found a 2yo kc registered dog with fab temperament and full history through the breed rescue.

Beautiful boy, what a shine to his coat.Talking of which ,do have a look at the gillrugs unlined waterproof coats for his rain walks...made to measure and will save you lots of drying time / wet dog smell.
I love your little dog too, what breed is she?

Thank you :)

Bellasophia - we don't know, she was a stray we picked her up off the street (quite literally!). Definitely some small terrier x, probably patterdale.
