As above has anyones horse been given the new alternative to tildren? ( Osphos - only came on the market end of September ) If so how did they react tonit to itand did it make any difference? My pony isnt responding to treatment and has been on a high dose of steroids ( above 1mg per kg ) without any effect and they will prob double dose him tomo and see how that works, yes hes at a high risk of laminitis but as the vets said theres nothing to lose by giving him them. They are thinking about giving him the new drug ( if we can actually get it in him as his behaviour isnt overly safe when being handled ) as a last resort to seebif it has any effect on him and wondered if anyone had any views on it, its very experimental ain my ponies case as there is no documentation anywhere of any horse having had thebinjyry he has and the structures involved with it.

Bump! Would also be interested to hear more about this.

Hi one of mine has had the Tildren, lasted about 5 months before he went lame again, only 1-10 lame so a real pain. He has arthritic hocks had the new drug beginning of November and then another two weeks ago, it is an injection so not as complicated as Tildren, he's sound if not a little bionic at the moment, would recommend it and if he goes unsound again will be repeating this course of treatment.

Its more complicated in my ponies case as its not for a lameness issue but for a fracture with bone remodelling.

How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking ?
Oh and how heavy is your horse .

Hi, think it was about £300 a time, its been payable under insurance so not quite sure and was not worried about the price, will have to go it alone in the New Year though. The horse is 650 kilos heavyweight cob but if it works there is no price I wouldn't pay, vet advised that condition will go worse as it does for people but whilst its working i'm one happy bunny!!!

I asked my vet about this for my horse with navicular. He wasn't suitable for it unfortunately. They're waiting to see more evidence of it's efficacy before using it, but reckon it is a cheaper version of Tildren.
