For those who haven't downloaded the RIHS Schedule 2008, you may be interestd to hear that they have added some extra classes this year aimed at the 'ordinary' riders amongst us

There are 4 days of Amateur classes at 1.10m which qualify for an Amateur Final at 1.20m on the saturday (much the same as they run at the Derby Meeting). There is also a 1.15m Open on the saturday.

This means that for those of us with horses out of foxhunter there is now something to jump under 1.25m on each of the five days the show is running national classes.

They've also added a few smaller classes to the Derby Schedule too like a 1.10m Open Speed Derby on the sunday and a few 'Intermediate' 1.15m's on other days for horses with less than £500 on their card.

All in all this looks good news for the 'little people' and brings the cost of Hickstead membership down in real terms over the course of the two shows as there are more options available

Well done Hickstead !

wooo it made very exciting reading for me when i downloaded the RIHS schedule, and it also made my decision for me as to whether i was a member for just the derby or for the full membership! i have gone for the latter as i plan to go to both.

Im already very excited about the Derby meet, but since downloading the RIHS schedule i also have something else to get excited about!
