New BE event Swalcliffe Park 20-21st March - any info?...

Just looking at 'my event diary' on BE webby and I have penciled in Swalcliffe Park intro in Oxfordshire does anyone know ANYTHING about this event?... I'm guessing after a bit of Googling that the xc will be over Grange Farm XC course so any info/pics on that either?...

Want to start the season with

Jack unaff Hunter Trial
Soap Swalcliffe but may change my mind if feedback says it's rubbish....

I xc schooled there a few times about umm 7years ago and found it nice enough, nothing massive or technical there all very inviting and babyish... the only thing I do remember is that they werent overly big (as in length) so they looked quite narrow, but good for teaching babies to focus and keep straight! But like i said that was a while ago so probably not being much help at all sorry!

There's a very big hill so you do need brakes/a fairly fit horse.
Not been for years but they have been steadily developing it and WHPC use it a lot.
Oh and it's on a single track road so hope you've got a confident driver/small lorry

I school there and the area 9 int eventing is there on the 18th of jul and im doing it as my 2nd intro! It's quite a nice simple course but hilly!

nice simple on inviting fences, as others have said soem good pull but never touched my tb yet my mates cob struggled and they did they same fittening work, simple waters as they were set up use lots of portables. Things may have changed as last time I was up there in Oct they were digging up a field which looked like either a bank or a new water complex .... will report back

Hoping to do the BE80T or the intro depending on how we go

I have done some hunter trials there before and its nice and hilly and will have a good variety of fences plus water, woodland and probably borrow fences from the very local Upton and Great Tew events and maybe Aston, I would reckon it will be really nice, I am going to enter too..

I am so so spoilt for events round here, my first 2 are within 2 and 25 mins travelling distance. But yes support a new event it should be good.

Swalcliffe has improved massively over the last few years, it should be brilliant for a B.E. event! Im certainly going to pencil it in!
