Since I lost my old dog other dog has taken to spending the night with me ! She is obviously lonely on her own downstairs otherwise she doesnt seem to be missing him as she is now No.1 for cuddles etc. Gets quite sweaty in bed now with these hot nights as she has to lie right up against me!
Im going to be hoovering his long white hairs up for weeks, most of my black clothes have a white covering so he will be with me for a while yet.

I also have one of my bitches as a bedfellow. As we have the use of a king sized bed I have put a folded duvet on her side and demand that she lies on it before we go to sleep. She seems to have got the message and lets me have my side to myself now. Thankfully she has a short wiry coat and does not shed much.

We have a king sized bed which is just as well as we have our little terrier x and our small jrt with us most nights. They like to be touching you so I have one on my outside and my husband has one on his outside. If it gets cold they burrow under the duvet and sleep by our feet in the night. My elderly jrt took to sleeping in the middle of us before she passed. I know people frown on it but it doesn't bother us and they seem to get comfort from it.
Strangely if we go away they go to kennels and are fine!

One of my most trying experiences was co-sleeping with a giant elderly greyhound who hogged the double bed, farted, snored and growled at me when I begged him for a tiny bit more bed and at least a leg length of duvet!! A spaniel (I think PL?) is at least slightly more civilised size dog...I hope your old boy Badger stays with you for a while in some form, even if just in hairs!! :) Hope you are ok too. :)
