Hi all I've been playing about with a new bit that come out last year. It has a spring cheek piece and a ported mouth piece and it has worked wonders on one of my stargazing ponies as the spring in the cheek absorbs the movement from hand to mouth it makes it very friendly.
the web address is

www.denneyequestrian.co.uk

The bits are quite expensive but i think its money well spent and i'm so pleased i now use it for breaking in, and the youngsters seem to prefer it as its so kind without any sharp ness.

Is this an ad?

no not at all i work with driving ponies and one of the other competitors was trying this bit and as i'd had problems with one of the ponies i tried it out and as bitting is a very important area with horses i thought i would share it with you lot.

Yey someone who understands me. What do they think of it. If i could afford it i would kit everything out with one. Think they do a small veriety but i only have the one at the moment.

I know but i only need little ones and they had loads for me to try to get the right ones. where did your showjumping friend hear about them. I heard through carriage driving bods

not sure where they heard it from I know a few drivers that use it but it can also be used ridden, it works like a double bridle but only has one rein.
