Bought some new boots for XC for Bud, in the end opted for Sabre Eventing boots...... tried on last night and schooled him in them he seemed fine and they didn't move...... just wanted to check i had put them on right and see if people thought they fitted ok - first time using leather boots so want to get it right!

I did them up first then thought bit tight so let each out by a hole, 3 middle straps are same holes bottom one looser top one tighter..... i didn't want them too tight but then don't want them to move ?!?!

I have never seen these boots before, my concern would have been that they look too long - they really are quite strange - is it the photo - or are they actually resting on the hock joint ?

they look ok to me as there covering what there mend to be covering and if you've ridden in them and he feels fine then i don't see a problem, there not brushing boots at the end of the day they have a job!

They look fine......I've got similar ones for my horse. When I first got them I thought they were too big, but its just because they are designed to protect more areas than your normal brushing boot.

I am no expert but the pics on the Derby House site look like the straps are going the other way to yours??? e.g. from back to front not front to back does that make sense??!! and the open part at the bottom of the boot is at the front of the leg not the side as you have them.

I would definately say Derby Horse has got it wrong... those boots look twisted and awful on that horse! Your boots look absoloutly fine! and look like they will definately serve there purporse!

They fit perfectly L, if anything they could do with having a bit more coverage around the side and down the front of the fetlock, but that is just my prefecrence! the length is perfect for the style of boot
