If all goes well I should have a new pony this week! I decided in the end to get a baby one so in a couple of days time I should be picking up my 3 year old ISH/warmblood coloured lad!

So excited, he's very pretty and has some pretty special SJ blood so hopefully he'll have some talent too!

I just need a name for him now! I want a short but unusual stable name- any ideas? He's chestnut and white- but very minimally marked with the chestnut so he's quite striking.

I'll stick some pics up when I have him!

Oh wow, how exciting. You still have your big boy though right?
Name wise Trevor came straight into my head.

Finn, although nice, is quite common these days and I want something totally different.

Bungle is a bit long and just not poncy enough! lol

No

sadly not. My big man was pts at the start of this month. A devestating conclusion almost a year on from his going lame prior to being diagnosed with DJD. He deteriorated so rapidly and was so unsound I could not let him go on.

So new boy is something totally different to give me something to focus my attentions on without constant comparison.

Oh he is lovely I bet you are excited to get him arent you

As for names Well not very good with names but here goes
Chip,
Taffy
Kipper
Rusty
Bailey
Oh sorry totally useless with names hehe oh well hope you find a nice one for him. xxx

Oh no how sad, I am sorry. He was a lovely big boy.
This new one will keep you busy though, he is a lovely type.

I'm thinking of registering him as Arioso - bit of a reference to his SJ lines in there and also its pretty! So Aragorn is a bit long as stable name. I like names that are sort of 3 or 4 letters. I did like Ari- but it will be heard as Harry.

To give you and idea of the type of names I like some of the thoughts are: Tai, Tam, Milo, Tino, Timba (I don't know why there are so many 'T' names!)

So how about SoCo for a stable name, his dark bits are kind of Southern Comfort coloured

Sare he is lovely and I am so pleased that you have got a new chap to love.

What about Dulux

Ok so i have had a little bit of alcohol but not much and I rather like it!

I like the thought behind Dulux- however I fear that a little tipple and it would be only a short step to calling him Durex!

Not good! heehee
I thought horse naming would be fun but its a minefield!

Ooops never thought of that!
