Met a pair of German Spitzes yesterday. Well, what can I say apart from the fact I am most definitely, 100% guaranteed in love.? One of them was black & sable and looked like a micro GSD. I’ve never seen one in the flesh before and I just melted!

I would say Mattel. They were youngsters but they weren’t as pointy nosed as the other types. I don’t know tbh? but they were adorable!

I’ve just googled Mittels and there is a pure black that comes up. Beautiful.

I am a fan of anything spitz-shaped but the Germans are a bit too floofy for me. They seem to have lovely temperaments though, I'm not sure why they aren't more popular.

Love me a fluffster my breeder had a 18 year old spitz who was quite the champion of a dog.

Can recommend looking into the finnish lapphunds and Icelandic sheepdog and japanese spitz if you like this type as well

My mums friend was one of the first to import German Spitz in the 1970s and early 80s - they are just balls of fluff aren’t they? ???

She also had Alaskan malamutes which I thought were much more cool ?

I remember first telling my dad I'd bought a Siberian husky and he asked if they were the ones that had their arse on show all the time. I reassured him they weren't, and he was thinking of malamutes. Two years later I ended up with a duff-tailed husky with his arse on show all the time!

They have cuter faces than Keeshonds and I like the variety in colour. Few and far between, tho!

I’m loving the Icelandic Sheepdog. ? weirdly, they resemble my first dog who was a Shetland sheepdog x Cavalier!

I know. My neighbour was a police dog handler. He introduced me to Drummer when I was about six, too. Jeez, if any dog warranted respect it was Drummer?
