Hi everyone!

I run a tack and feed store and thinking about offering rug washing.

Got a machine sorted etc the bit im stuck on which sounds ridiculous.... Packaging!!! Is there anybody out there already doing rug washing that could tell me what type of plastic you use?? I already have a heat sealer as use lay flat tube for packaging items made in the shop but it's very thick!

Help would be much appreciated!!

Thank you

I would use the layflat if you have a long enough sealer as you'll need thick plastic to help prevent the surcingle fittings and buckles from penetrating the plastic.
When I was washing rugs back in the mid 90's I just used thick clear bin liners tied up.
Make sure you expel as much air from the bag/tubing as you seal it to help stop the rugs moving around in the bag causing the bag to tear.

My rug washer returns the rugs tied up tightly in large thin plastic bags closed with Sellotape . It works fine .
