Am hoping to pick all your brains for a name for my new business!
Am currently finishing up my studies in canine behaviour etc and am hoping within the next few months to start my own business offering behavioural consultations/ training classes etc- but am totally stuck for a name!
Im afraid the best I can come up with is something like "perfect pooches" but would appreciated all your ideas!
Its difficult to progress much in the planning stages without a name as even getting things like insurance quotes is hard without a business name!

Someone on here once recommended something starting with an early letter of the alphabet so that you come high up the listings in any directory or web list.

So, with that in mind...

Attaboy!

my sister had a dogwalking business a few years ago called Dogtrot Oscar (named after her retriever, Oscar). Up for grabs as she's no longer using it!

wat about an ABC based name:
dunno erm...... attitude behavioural canine consults or something?! (wow thats wordy! dont use that!)

Can do doggy training?

Wow this is hard.........

thank you for all your ideas!
Am not sure whether to go for a name which has more of a personal touch- i.e. maybe has my name in it, or more of a professional sounding name?
I think professional ,but my boyfriend thinks more personal.
Thoughts?

Sit in Lynse? (hehe)

Hmmmm not in a bad way, but your name is difficult to get into a name, without being like

well i have had to use 2 different companies for help with beau, and now I think about it neither had "personal" touch names, they were professional sounding names, dunno, just coz i was having difficulties, I wanted someone that could help me make the correct straight decision.
Sometimes personal can come across a bit of (as you say) amateurish, and a bit soppy? (if that makes sense, not sure explainign it right)

Your own name is a "safe" option in that no one can steal your name once you get a successful business up and running. If you name it purfect pets or something catchy unless you make it a Ltd co and trademark the name there is nothing at all to stop anyone using the same name. Only if they are within a certain distance of you and are likely to confuse potential customers with you or the copycat one. I would use your name followed by 1 or 2 words that portray your work. For example there are several Purrfect Cattery's in the country all legally trading under the same name. Particularly if you want a website you need a unique name and also clients will know YOUR name and remember it rather than just "good dogs" or ??????

I think it's essential to have dog in the title, especially for search engines. Someone mentioned the The Problem Dog People, but I think just The Dog People would be perfect. Or how about The Dog Lady?

I wouldn't use pooch or anything twee.

Best of luck with it.
