Parents are very kindly taking me to get things for Lubo tomorrow so I'm writing out my shopping list.
Have I forgotten anything? :smile3:

bed (upstairs)
pad/mattress (downstairs)
name tag
collar/lead (extendable to work on recall?)
harness
poo bags
brush and shampoo
treats and dentasticks
toys
food and water bowl (non-stick mat?)
odor remover spray

medication
food (comes with a weeks supply)
coat to keep arthritic bits warm
baby gates

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head...

Looks like a pretty good list!
I don't personally like extending leads (but I can see why some people do) - what about a 'Halti' training lead (I think most pet shops sell them) - they are comfy to hold and you can adjust them to make them longer if you want to give a bit more space/recall training. My favourite lead by far, and I've tried loads!
Have fun doggieshopping - one of my hobbies!

great :smile3:
I'll have a look for the training aid - the shelter isn't sure what his recall is like so something extendable could come in handy.

oh, I forgot to add a dog guard for the car.

The black kongs are tough and you need one that is larger than the dog's muzzle. You can line them with something tasty ( not the yukky stuff they sell) like cream cheese or peanut butter or you can stuff them with food & mashed potato & freeze to give a long lasting chew.

Mine loves her kong if I go out. She was a bit insecure and didn't like being left when I got her. Now, if she sees her kong getting filled, she couldn't give two hoots where I'm going! :)

Mine also loves dentastix. She has one at 8pm every night (she knows when 8pm is!)
