I'm in love!! They are beautiful!

What are they called? Is the 2nd one a ped. rottie?

Poor things, glad you came along and rescued them! My local animal shelter thankfully has a no healthy animal is PTS thought.

I know they are gorgeous!!!

Well the collie type is called Aran and the Rottie is called Sultan. I think Sultan definately looks like a pedigree.

I think i'm going to have to change their names, but we will see when I figure out what their personalities are like.

The Rottie was a stray, but had been chipped, the original owners were contacted but never came to take him home

They are lovely dogs. The collie cross has the most honest look on his face - bless. I hope they settle in well.

What's Aran's story? He looks a bit older?

You hear so many stories about chipped dogs not being reclaimed

If my Beastie ever went missing I'd be out every night searching for her! Unless it's due to the whole 'Rotties are dangerous' (which I don't think they are. They just need to be brought up right and with a firm hand!)

What age are both of them?

Kibob - Isn't he really sweet, thanks.

GinaB - Aran is about 4, they said he was surrendered, but is a real sweetie, they said no health problems, so I assume somebody just couldn't be bothered anymore.

I had a cat go missing about 2 years ago, and I'd say my neighbours still think I'm crazy for walking up and down the local roads for months banging a plate and calling "Chico" all day.

I totally agree with you that dogs are fine if they are brought up right, I just hope that these two have been. But I have got to go and buy a muzzle for him anyway, and collars, and leash's and cute doggie beds and doggie food. The rottie is about 1 1/2 - 2 years old

GAWD, I AM SO EXCITED

I've had mine 6 years and still love buying her wee pressies! On Sunday she got a military style jacket..she is now Colonel Beastie!

Look forward to seeing lots of updates above both of them

So pleased you managed to help them. I used to work at a kennels and we would get strays in there...someone even let a german shephard which was beautiful. I nearly took home a couple on several occasions but we offered a rehoming service and people would come in and take them home :0)
I didnt realise they still did PTS....pleased you managed to save them....shame really....
Good luck and have lots of fun

Here in Southern Ireland, surrendered dogs generally get 1 day before they are PTS and strays get 5/6.

Thankfully I was in time for these two, but there are so many others I want to take home too.

I could never work in a pound/kennels, I don't have the heart to leave all those lovely doggies, not to mention the ones that are to be PTS

They are lovely. I'm sure they're in for a fab life now.

The city shelter here in NYC gives dogs about a week, I think, before they're put to sleep. For my sins, I often visit theCACC website website to see what kind of doggies are available -- sadly, way too many Pit Bulls found wandering loose in the Bronx and Brooklyn
