I am about to start the winter regime and feed the boyo on Pasture Mix and Chaff - what % of each should I feed twice a day? Medium work level, stabled at night. ie.e 3/4 scoop chaff to mix or??? I want him with a bit of oomph (although typically he has had plenty the last few days).

I would just see how he goes. I never measure mine out like that or go by weight - unless it's on a strict diet, if my horse has no hay left he gets more the following day etc.

I would start off with a handful or two of mix and about half a scoop of chaff - chaff is to bulk out a feed so I give more chaff than mix. If he still needs more after a couple of weeks on this then increase the mix to say 1/4 of a scoop and up the chaff if need be.

Just go by how he feels - I never feed what they say on the bag as I've always had fatties who live on fresh air.

Contact the manufacturer of the feed with a brief outline of your horse and they can advise a suitable feeding plan for your situation.
Other option if your interested in bedtime reading, presuming you maybe havnt already got it (No offence intended) BHS Stage 1 theory book includes a basic but comprehensive and easy to understand guide to calculating a suitable feeding plan depending on breed, work and temperament which is always useful to know.
