I tried one of these but without the ears as mine tends to rub his face a lot with a normal mask, he managed to get it off completely while it still done up on the first day. I put it the box of things i've tried thinking it would help him but he tells me i've wasted my time. Its getting to be a big box.
Still as he is now on his own i dont get other horses removing his mask for him so thats a bonus...

I have one of those it does exactly the same thing.

I got it for my cob who hates the full face masks but hates midges in his ears just as much. Takes him about 5 minutes to end up looking like your picture.

The horse in the second pic looks like s/he'd have your arm off if you tried to remove it LOL

He wouldn't dream of it. He's an absolute sweetheart - just likes to roll his eyes when he thinks you're about to do something mean to him...like taking away his chin protection!

Ha Ha, those photos brought back memories. We used to call it "Charlie's Weird Beard"!

Have a proper fly mask now, they tend to stay in place and even cover white noses from the sun.

Much better Alf! Those ear ones are the same on my horses except the one who wears the muzzle and with muzzle on the top it stays on nicely. My masks are often found hanging in the trees....just dangling there! Reminds me of when my colt was gelded and had to be outside. Of course he got a hoof abscess (!) so I bought a rather good boot to put on the top of the poultice so he could stay out..............boot was found floating in the water trough 2 days in a row........epic fail!
