I've just bought a lovely little NF forest bred colt by the name of Matley Prince. I've been looking at his passport and wondered if anybody had any information on his parents/grandparents. I've found limited info on a couple of them, I'm especially interested in the heights if anybody knows.

Sire: Pilley Prince William
Dam: Matley Twiggy

Grand Sires: Monkshorn Trooper & Farriers Rambler
Grand Dams: Pilley Beauty & Matley Tiny

Sadly I can be no help whatsoever but just loved the names of his ancestors! I think with fantastic sounding names like that in the family he will have to be a goody!

The Farriers prefix is very well known in some lines of NF breeding (I ride/play around at a NF stud

) Recognise Monkshorn as a big name too.

I love my NF,s and agree with the post that advises to ask on the nfed forum they are really helpful and they are good at their bloodlines. My boy is called Limekiln Amigo and i wrote to his breeder and he was very happy to help so that might be a good idea for you too. Good luck with your boy.

Pilley Prince William's breeder lives round the corner from us. Snoopysue, your boy's breeder is a really nice man. He usually is in charge of the fires at the drifts that the brands go in to heat them up.
