I have a lovely New Forest Cross TB and I am really interested to hear about other NFx's. SO does anyone here have one? What do you do with them?

:)

I have a NFXTB - he was my daughter's, but she has now got a new horse, so I am riding him. My daughter did everything with him, PC, ODE, HT, SJ - he was just brilliant for her, and so easy to do. He is the blue roan in my sig. :)

15.1 new forest x welsh D - fab - looks stunning (I think he looks more like his NF mum), lovely polite horse, tries hard at everything - have a full Welsh D mare as well & he doesn't have her occasional bolshy attitude to life.

My eventer is 1/4 newforest, though unfortunately from unrecorded lines. She is very pony in her ways, it makes her that extra bit special!

I think I have one! I have a TBx mare who is just stated as TBx cob on her passport but both my yard manager and my vet are convinced she is an NF cross. I'll post some pictures later to get your opinions but if I could see some pics of all your boys and girls it would be interesting to compare!

- sorry replying on phone- spoke to his breeder think both were un registered tho i have seen pictures his mum was 14.2 and his dad was 16hh so no idea how he got so big and he isnt fine either i mainly do dressage at the minute hope to event in the future but hes a hacking machine will go for miles loves jumping can have a temper tho and his bucks are impressive, hes more hormonal than most mares i know but very clever with it ive definatley got my hands full!

what a gorgeous pony, how big is she, what is her temperment like is she wilful, she looks like a pony with an opinion!

She is 13.1hh, all looks and no brains  It takes her 3 times as long as my other ponies to learn anything :o And her motto is if in doubt go faster :o But having said that she is a little sweetie, she absolutely tries her heart out for you :) I won a class with her at Ponies UK a few years ago and that was one of my proudest moments ever :D

hi,
i have a coloured new forest x trotter. he is the most laid back horse i know and comes across a a bit thick sometimes. likes to throw his feed bucket in the air but the other day it came back down and hit him on the head, bless him. abosolutely bomb proof with juggernauts, road bridges etc but can be scared of a flower!. i spent a long time looking for a pony i could break to drive that was sane and he has just been fab with everything. could be a bit more forward at times though i'm sure that will come, he has only just turned 5.:)

Used to have a 13.1hh NF x Welsh she was very cute but far too clever for her own good.

Also had a 14.2hh NFxTB 'bargain' pony who was fantastic. My mum paid £100 for her with her tack (int the early 80's), the owners daughter couldn't manage her so they were selling her as dangerous. Took 6 months for me to upgrade from the naughty 13.1 and then we used to jump 4' courses and do all the PC stuff and she was brilliant at everything. We jumped 5'9 once in a chase-me-charlie!

my daughters pony is a nf x cob. cracking pony 13.3hh well built, jumps anything, is on the area dressage team for the pony club. hacks fantastic but did get sacked from the mounted games team for too much enthusiasm:eek: he also goes to the RDA weekly and is always placed in riding pony and family pony.
my son has a pure NF who is a cracker, so laid back but so brave and honest

Hi there, I have a New Forest x Welsh Cob - We did all sorts together when I was a young pup! She is a real 'steady eddy' type; no hangups, ifs or buts, and a fantastic friend! I wouldn't part with her for love nor money! Here are some photos :D

I have a 14.1 NF x TB and she has a really lovely nature. I also had an arab x welsh B who was lovely too so I can imagine a NF x Arab would be a really nice cross.

Had a NFxTB until october last year (was put down) was a brilliant pony, quirky but wonderful! Wish I could have seen him get older as he was just beginning to grow up towards the end. Would definitely have another though, they seem to be a great mix :)

All gorgeous. I love the fjord cross so much! Am I the only one with (well, I share) an NFxArab?

No you're not :)

I loaned a beautiful NF x Arab mare (more arab though I think!)
Her name is Fable, and if anybody recognizes her then feel free to pm me as I do miss her :(
