Hi all,

My Wife and I are looking to go for a hack in the new forest for a couple of hours next weekend and was wondering if anyone has been lately and has any suggestions.

I have been looking at:

http://www.bagnumridingstables.co.uk/

http://www.fordfarmstables.co.uk/

www.arnissequestrian.co.uk

These all offer 2 hour hacks for experianced riders, but can't find many reviews on either.

Bagnum has some positive feedback on facebook and their website, but any user reviews from here would be great.

Arniss is a little further out the way, and more expensive, but want to enjoy our ride!

Burley Villa are very good and do longer hacks, you can also go cowboy style which is fun!
If you want to go a bit faster you may need to pay extra for the private option though.

Arniss is near me - hacking area is lovely and it certainly used to have a good reputation, but think it is now under new managment, but sure its still good.

Hope you have a lovely time wherever you go. :)

Oooh, Spriout, you can't be far from me then! My lot are at Woodgreen.

Arniss does have great hacking, Ford Farm is also good.

Thank you, good to know a couple of the ones I have looked at being mentioned!

Need to book this weekend, so will have a good look at what they offer.

I have been to Arniss twice. It is a professional set up. Horses in great condition. Had lovely hacks both times. I just did an hour each time once on a beginners hack as my husband was with me and once in an experienced group. We had a few canters with the experienced group and one short one for those who wanted to in the novice group.

I would strongly advise reading Trip adviser for reviews of the various Riding places in the New Forest, before deciding which to book.
Hope you have a good time when you come, the forest riding is some of the best.

Having read reviews, ringing around and taken note of whats been said here, we have decided its between Ford Farm and Arniss. Keep toying between the two! Arniss has very positive reviews on trip advisor, Ford Farm is not there as far as I can see, but feedback around the web seems good.

Best make a desicion soon lol!
