They look like a pair of shetlands, certainly not NF, not sure what is 'poor' about them, apart from being a bit unkempt and fatter than ideal nothing wrong with how they are and while the price is low they are really only pets so should find someone happy to take them on as companions.

I’m glad you posted this as the ad had really been bugging me! I thought they looked like Shetlands too ?

Whilst I doubt these have NF blood there is no lower height limit on NFs.

These are probably depastured shetlands - and they're much more expensive than a new forest from a sale would be. Mine, who is quite small for a purebred, was 15 guineas (£16.85) and certainly isn't 'poor'. Admittedly this was 20 years ago and I don't like horses being sold cheaply, but buying a cheap horse/pony doesn't mean someone is clueless either ....

They are most definitively Shetlands not New Forests.

The last shetland colt foal we bought from the sales was 50gns. We have previously bought them for as little as 35gns.
