Peter Charles won yesterday's Renault Jump class with Murka's Johnny Jumper. Ground was sticky and there were quite a few withdrawals and early retirements.
friend got towed onto the ground this morning, parked up and then watched a lorry that been towed on before them, try be dug out by a team of officials
My clients welsh cob stallion won his class there today!!! Really chuffed with him!!! Got the two that I work on for her competing tommorow so fingers crossed for them!! I'm not going to venture down to watch as i had planned as apparently its just a skate rink of mud, cars getting towed in and out
Thanks for that! I got fed up with being wet and muddy and went home. My friend went with her Highland yearling and did really - she was well chuffed - but the downside was they had to be towed in and towed out (I had a lovely time struggling round in the quagmire flagging down tractors!) 4 x 4s are all very well but you just end up with all four wheels spinning!!
I've been wondering if they'll close early today. It's absolutely bucketing down and blowing a hooly. Just been up to Lyndhurst and there's hardly anyone about and it's the height of the tourist season . . . .
I live in the New Forest and everyone who went said it was a total mudbath and they couldn't believe it - I was competing last year and thankfully it was hot and sunny!!
