So, yesterday we went on a little jaunt to a beautiful part of the world and came back with a bundle of fur and fun called Milly!
The car journey home was...um eventful.... Milly started in the boot (don't fear its an estate car! we didn't go all mafia stylee) but soon decided that it looked like much more fun with me and bubs!
So, dippy me puts window down and wey hey Milly almost goes out of the window. Never before have I seen a dog who likes to travel with not only her head out of window but near enough her whole body.
Eventually we made it 'home' to where she will now be living, Ma n Pa's. Ma was at work but Pa has taken a week off to spend with Milly to help her settle.
Now, a recap-Pa does not like animals. That was until he met a wonderful dog named Tessa. He and Tessa soon became 'me and my shadow', you saw one you saw the other. Sadly she died 4 years ago and he, well Ma too never really got over it. (yes I know she was a dog BUT in the time they had her my sisters and I all moved out and my nan who lived with us died so it soon became just the 3 of them)
Well......
It was love at first site! She was a bit wary at first but soon made herself at home. Pa decided to take her for a walk and thats when we discovered she *may* like water
I think it was when she stood on her back legs and almost took him into the pond with her that was the give away. Anyway....I'm rambling now....he took her home and she was given the first of her treats from the 'treaty drawer'. Pa unwrapped a Jumbone and asked her to sit, she sat....and then gave him her paw SMITTEN!!! He was like a kid in a sweet shop!
Ma came home from work and promptly dissolved into tears saying how beautiful she is, so we left the little family to bond....
Just got off phone to Pa to say how she is 'Pain in the bleddy aRRR's she is, can't get anything done in the house'
Then he confessed......last night she was supposed to sleep downstairs but Ma thought that she would be lonely so she could sleep on the landing....Milly knows how to open doors
and so she opened their bedroom door and climbed into bed with them...AND THEY LET HER STAY!!!!
He quickly said goodbye and put down the phone as they were off on their THIRD walk of the day.
A perfick match I thinks....
I will get pics soon but she is BEAUTIFUL!!!
