new hat??

Hi
I have had my hat about 3 years. In that time I have fallen off but never hit my head ( landed on feet or bum) I have occassionaly dropped it onto hard ground but only from 20 - 30 cm at most. My boyfriend wants to buy me a new one for birthday but I`m not sure whether I need one or not. How often would you renew a hat that hasnt been walloped. How often do new safety standards come out?

I would say if you've dropped it a few times and it's 3 years old then yes. Believe it or not apparently sunlight can weaken the protection stuff inside it. I would buy a new hat if I were you. And remember to get it professionally fitted etc! xx

Yes as above they do weaken over time, its the same with motor bike helmets my OH tells me. Go for the best you can afford, Champion hats are very good and top quality. I have my 3rd Ventair hat, very comfy and after 2 hrs on today, no hat hair or sweaty bits!!

yeah i would get a new one especiallyas he is offering i would say a ventair hat as well they are great best hat ive ever had

Definitely as if you have dropped it a few times then there most likely is some damage and especially as he is offering saves you money hehe. Another vote for Champion Ventair x
