...any reason why you can't use hay thats just been cut?

We have always used fresh cut hay and never had a problem!

Well.....thats my thinking - its just fresh cut grass...

I've been told that I shouldn't use new big bale hay and I should be using old stock....which happens to be small bales and therefore much pricier.
