New haylage going right thru horse!

Is anyone else having issues with this? The new batch of haylage that was delivered to the yard is very green and still smells like cut grass rather than haylage. My horse has gone very runny and hay wasn’t an option to swap him onto so think I’m going to have to go buy him a bale! Does anyone feed anything in particular to help combat the runs? He seemed a little grumpy with it also which isn’t like him at all!

We used NAF HB one year, it was a disaster both ridden horses became very footy very quickly (in November/December) and their normal good manners became poor. They were both very grumpy.

OP, you could try Aloe Vera juice to settle the stomach and damp bran to firm up the 'runs'.

Had success with Global Herbs Black Salt in the past for a runny bum - stinks though!

I really rate Protexin quick fix paste. I have to use it when my mare switches on to Haylage
