Avoid if allergic to matchy matchy! It was International Helmet Awareness Day yesterday according to H&H, so a good excuse to take some photos with the new love of my life in terms of headgear :D I never thought helmets could be SO light and comfortable...hoped, maybe ;) When I canter, I can feel the air in my hair again!! Amazing.

I don't know why I have my eyes closed in so many of them. My OH just said it's obviously "inner Losgelassenheit" ;) ;) (gotta love dressage-jargon-speaking OHs ;) ) It's probably lack of sleep from the Munich weekend (I haven't recovered yet!) :D :D

What a gorgeous horse, and I love the matchy-matchy :D Think it's great you have found a hat you love riding in, and just proves that it can be done :)

You make it look so easy - I think it must be the combination of effortlessly glam, the weather, facilities and us not seeing the hours of blood and sweat you have put in but just seeing the results.

Lovely pictures, Rauti is looking great! I love the last one in the water tray.

Does your OH ride or has he just picked up the lingo from you...?! As for funny faces when riding, I'm constantly being told to "smile!" as I look soooo serious when I'm concentrating ;)

Aww, you are all way too kind :) He is a bit unfit, he had a few months of very little work because I was always away and so he lost a lot of condition and muscle :(. We have only started working seriously again last week.

He does want to drop behind the vertical when stretching, but not always, some of the stretching pics are acceptable ;)

Helmet is uvex - I had seen it on a couple of people in Hagen and liked it, but could not really justify buying a new helmet then. Then, it suddenly turned *really* hot in Italy and I just couldn't ride in my GPA anymore! Last week in Munich I really liked it on Victoria Max-Theurer:

and bought it, mine is the cheapest model (I paid 99 euros, fixed price, not a special offer or anything like that) but they have plenty more (including bling ones with crystals etc). I really can't speak highly enough of it, it's incredibly light and the air vents are so large and work so well that you really do feel the wind in your hair, it's fabulous.

uvex also make a wide range of sunglasses to accompany their helmets.

Charlie76, both bradoon and weymouth are Sprenger KK Ultra.

No, OH is not horsey! Just well-schooled ;)

Lovely pictures...

I want that hat in all the colours and the sunglasses... Last year I was looking everywhere for a pair to wear autumn/winter (the sun bothers me more then, nearly bought a pair of shooting ones). Big shopping list coming up ;)

Yes my helmet is the one in the link LEC posted, definitely 99 euros (all stands in Munich had that model for 99 euros). I did not try the more expensive ones on but the ones I picked up were definitely equally light.

The bandages are not Eurostar actually - just some unbranded 10-euro ones I picked up from a stand when I was almost despairing! Saddlecloth was a much-appreciated present from a friend, but we could not find matching Eurostar bandages anywhere. I searched and searched for a set in a comparable colour at least and found them on the very last day :) I would still like to buy the Eurostar ones if I ever find them, I think the colour is 'denim'.

Silly question, Are the uvex hats approved for competing in uk? Think they need to be PO015 or something? If they are, I want one!!!
