This came to my attention too on facebook so I shared. Apparently it has been doing the rounds for at least a year and is likely to be a hoax. :(

Please search google before cross posting such messages.

This was real in 2011 in the USA and that situation was sorted out.

Since then, it does the rounds regularly and the phone number has been linked to a premium rate number charging excessive amount of money.

Ok, I get it.. It's a scam.. not need to be so rude!

I dont use facebook and one of my non horsey friends sent it onto me concerned, thought i was doing the right thing...

Its always a good idea to take the first few lines of these things floating around Facebook and stick them into a Google search - it automatically brings up either Hoax Slayer or Snopes which will confirm or deny if they are genuine - 99% of them are either utter tripe, old news or scams. I always do a search - this thing has appeared on my Facebook page no less than 14 times in the last 5 days either from people linking it to me or messaging it to me directly. So to help yourself, do a search for just the first few lines of whatever it is you have been sent - it will automatically let you know if its nonsense or not and I have yet to come across a genuine one. If more people researched things they are re-posting, the less of these things there would be. I understand people share them out of genuine concern but this one was at one point used to scam people into calling a number that was costly to ring so sharing them can be costly to others
