New horse coming thursday (v.v.v.v.v.very excited!) but he has no stable name.
his registered name is entisarat, and to be honest i dont want to call him ratty! lol
he is 16.1hh, TB gelding and just plain bay. he doesnt "look" like a anything, and i really want something different, possible not a human name, something quite classy and different.
im just stuck! keep looking around me for inspiration but nothing has come up!
Any ideas people?

yeah i toyed with ratty, but just couldnt see the "rat" in him!
ok, he is a ex racer, but not a nutter, very sweet natured, can be a little grumpy in the stable.
people keep saying wiat until he is here, and his charachter will come out then a name will just happen, but its nice to hear what others can think of.

What about naming him after a race course - thurles, Epsom, etc. or wine/sherry Rioja, Fino, TioPepe. Personally, I have always liked Bennett, Maitland, Balbriggan and Benton.

ohhhhh benton....now i could see him as a benton! this is great folks, thanks so much.
going to get some pics up when ive picked him thursday, then maybe that might help on the name side of things!

Well India Came with no name but I have 2 cats who are named after Islands we visited in the Maldives - Sangu and Meeru. Carrying on the exotic places we are saving Bali for our puppy and called my TB mare, India.

When I got my boy he didn't have a name I like names with meanings behind them. I had a little more to go on as he is German and the breeding says they should have first initial the same as sire so I looked for names beginning with C and found ones with nice meanings so my boy is called Coen which is a German name that means brave/bold.
I think it is quite nice to have named them yourself.

I Googled Entisarat, apparently, and blame Google if this is incorrect, it is a name rather than a word, Egyptian in origin. Lot of help I am.:(

My daughter has just got a new horse named Cher and we REALLY don't see her as a Cher (plus the fact it reminds me of Mrs Bleurgh:eek:) it suits her, at the moment she is just being called Lady, I can see that sticking. Your poor boy would probably end up being Boy/Boysie with me, I've had several Boysies:o I've had two bay tb geldings, one called Sausage, and the other Duster, no idea why, and a chaser at one yard was nicknamed Grizzle because he was such a grump.

I think a name will come to you once you get to know him, did he not have a stable name when he was racing?
